2011 (part 2)

At this point last year I was finding equivalent tools in my life to those used in a tribal society. Pictured here is a kitchen knife and some shaving razors fashioned into a hanging device that is somewhere between a necklace and a holster. The project went further to creating spears and carving devices out of knives and found pieces of wood. I still enjoy the simplification of modern day life to tribalism and since this picture I have made other devices and objects emulating ritualistic and spiritual practices.

Bellow is the series of photos that document my slaughtering of a goonbox (cask wine). This is an extension of ritualistic killing/hunting practises brought into the 21st century.
